While there's a lot I do like about this storyline, it's made me rethink how I handle my planning for such stories and how / when to include more gratuitous transformations in general.

I deliberately lined up the bottom of the word "normal" in the last panel with the top of Nanase's head in panel two, so it's an easy visual reference for the resulting height difference.
I would've preferred the bottom of the dialogue balloon as a slightly better visual reference, but I felt that made the text a bit too oddly high.

I don't consider panel one a complete disaster, and if should be apparent by panel two that she's referring to their figures being equalized. If I had infinite time, however, I would redo the panel with more of her shown to make that more immediately clear.

Sarah wound up a little bigger than I'd originally planned after someone said they were hoping for that outcome.
That isn't because I was feeling especially indulgent or anything, but because I realized their logic was sound. I had planned for Sarah to basically wind up with the figure of Nanase in panel one, but If the scales balance the "hourglass" shape, then the base form with smaller hips and chest would have to be the low end, and the high end would have to be bigger than Nanase's...

Poll Description - Boisterous, loud Rhoda and sheepish Catalina
If you're wondering about the bandage on Rhoda's knees, she's not used to being boisterous. There's a very serious learning curve on not tripping all over everything.
In more technical commentary, I've modified the digital brushes I use, and holy carp does it speed up the inking process. I don't know how big a difference it will make long term, but I'm a bit hyped.

I had a bit of trouble wrapping my brain around how big Nanase should be if gaining the size taken from Sarah, but an obvious thing in retrospect is that Nanase HAD to wind up less than approximately 125.99% her normal size.
This is because that's the cubed root of 2, and 125.99% normal size would be 2:1 scale. Whatever size Nanase wound up, it had to be less than 2:1 given that she and Sarah started out identical.

I decided I wanted to see the result of Sarah and Nanase winding up with matching, sort of merged palettes.
Turns out Yellow + Red = Orange! Who knew?
To get these colors, I made a gradient between each of their colors, getting (approximately) the middle color, and then finding the closest match in my personal custom color palettes. I made an executive decision to increase the color saturation of their eyes, but beyond that, that's what I stuck to.

I wonder if I found this difficult to write because part of me knew that, without a mirror, they'd have to deduce they'd become identical, and that part of me was determined to block all other script ideas until the rest of me realized that.

The sound effects in the second half are not for clarity, but mostly because I feel it's more fun with them. I originally had none of that, and I felt it was lacking something.

When the third panel is the end of a strip and the fourth the start of a new one, a person might assume Sarah had some sort of reaction between panels to Nanase's comment about giving her a sword like that.
This sort of makes me imagine Sarah not even noticing and just continuing to ramble off her list of things while Nanase thinks to herself in panel four.
