Carol explained the complexities of why this didn't count as raiding while they were raiding.
Commentary
I've only encountered this exact nonsense in Fallout 4, but it's nonsense worth addressing.
In that game, you can tell your companions to equip nearly anything you can equip, and any bits of armor they equip will take up an armor slot (such as left leg, right arm, torso, etc).
Their default outfits tend to take up their arm, leg, and torso ...

That moment when everyone on your team is a support class.
As far as the games inspiring these comics, however, I've rarely found it an issue, because I generally don't exclusively treat my character as a support class.
It is possible to do that in some games, however, so there could be times when one's companion needs to be able to take a lot of hits and such while...

The logic behind my choice of Carol to be a bell-wielding Town Crier in this storyline were as follows:

Physically, Sarah was transformed to the limit of that particular spell. Playfulness could still be elevated, however, and with Sarah's habit of absently tapping the side of her head with the wand and Grace sitting that closely, it wasn't long before both of them were very curvy and silly.
