I wasn't satisfied with the stiffness of the piece from a few days ago, so I did a faster version and focused more on capturing his smirk. Like the unibrow guy, smirks buried under mustaches are hard to articulate.

Back when I left the Bent-Con team and quit comics for a few years in frustration I did a lot of warm up portraits in sketchbooks, starting with one that took me probably 20 minutes and eventually getting more and more anal about it until it took them hours, trying to get the likeness perfect.

I intended to just blow an hour on this but the tattoos always take time. It was probably 2.5 hours

So a few days ago I come across (on Tumblr, I believe) a picture caption with a statement about how this model WAS the poster's favorite until he'd gone too far with his tattoos. I was like, you are kidding, right?

another round of patron level restructuring/simplification

I've been thinking on this, and I believe I am going to once more restructure the rewards tiers. the reasons for this being the reality of what I actually deliver on as far as rewards after a few years of doing this, and because the vast majority of people choose between a couple of tiers, so I should just simplify and offer those two tiers plus maybe a couple more.

Hey Droogies! 

I finished this late last night at home, but alas have no internet there at the moment so I had to wait until today to post. I'll have to figure out how to use my phone as a hot spot before next time.

Working from home and homing from work

About a month ago I promised my dog that when I get rich I'll buy a second cintiq so I can work from home and spend more time with him. Then I noticed that my bank had raised my credit limit without my asking. Then a friend reminded me about my promise to my dog... so 1 second hand older model purchase on eBay later and I have a set up at home now!
Now I might never leave the apartment/get any sleep

Hey me Droogs, another page to share. There is sex in this comic, though it doesn't linger on it like a porn comic. I'm enjoying that aspect... this could be on a cable television program. I've seen as much naughty bits and simulated sex scenes on GOT. 

I'm inking the last 2 pages and then have a dozen to color and letter, then I'm done! woohoo!

I'm close enough to wrapping up this commission to start working on Stray Bullet again. One thing I've come to appreciate with this project is working from actual reference... most of the characters are actual people, or meant to look like particular ppl.
