I discovered the second angle by accident while working on the piece, and could not stop myself from going all the way with it. :D

NOTE HOWEVER that it gets pretty extreme even by my standards - most of you probably only want to see the first one or two pics lmao (and don't worry, the decorations are plastic and also this is a dream she had).
Also tried a thing where I converted it to a CMYK profile (then back to RGB) before exporting, so the brightest colors are a little more muted and feel more natural. Gonna be trying that on each piece from now on - mi...

I don't think I've ever made a violently autumnal piece, so there it is! It was a nice change.
Speaking of change, you probably can't tell very well, but Ellie got a bit of a redesign. Nothing heavy, but she is more zoilike now (longgggg), and also the piercings are different - now with 100% more septum piercing!

Fun fact: there are exactly 2211 objects in this scene, five of which have adaptive tessellation+displacement on them. It required over 17gb of RAM, and surprisingly only a little over 3 hours to render.

There has ALSO been an attempt at making these into an animation. Two in fact. But they're not very good. They're jankily put together out of the four pics, which were meant to be a sequence, but I guess the result is interesting enough to share! They're in GIF and MP4 formats, in case you run into any problems with one or the other.
