Monthly Illustration Update Notice

As you may have noticed, there was no illustration last month. That's due to me currently dedicating almost all my time to the upcoming animation, which led me to end up skipping August's illustration. Archmagus Tier Update Notice

From this month forward the monthly requests for the Archmagus supporters will be officially upgraded from "doodle" to "sketch". I've been making these requests more complex than simple doodles, so it's only fair I finally update the name. (WIP) HWS Scene 1 - 3

I said it was going to be tricky to color this scene and I wasn't wrong, lol.

*Fun Fact:

If you pay attention, you can see Seth's glasses have this band that wraps around his head. This way the glasses won't fall off, since he doesn't have the ears on the side of his head, like humans. In the original comic, the glasses were just regular ones, but I felt this change was necessary, just so it would make more sense.

Oh boy, it's gonna be quite some work to color all these individual frames, lol.

*Fun Fact:

How did Seth manage to fit a smaller table inside a bigger one? Basically, the big table was hollow. He could've very well used some kind of illusion spell or something, but the boy's not good with that kinda stuff, you know.

• That's the first time I'm using the CSP keyframe system. Instead of dragging manually the Seth layers frame by frame, I set a start and end position in the timeline and the software did the rest. Wish I knew about this feature when I did that scene from SNS when Seth is biting the chocolate bar, lol.

Uploading this as a WIP cause I'm probably changing it later. Anyway, this is the first step towards the next Tomb Cats project, which I should be revealing soon!. Any guesses?

• If I keep oversimplifying their designs, they'll end up becoming Cartoon Network characters.

• The original name for this comic was "Wake Up, Sleepy Cat!". I kinda realized it was too long, so I decided to change it.
• I actually made its script last year, but only decided to finally make it now, lol.

• Since this was my first animation project and also a collab, I wanted to make sure the characters were simple enough to animate. That's why I decided to go with a chibi style for them instead of using the standard one.

Kinda crazy I'm actually uploading the animatic after releasing the project. Back when I did it in December (2020), I wasn't sure if we'd finish this animation, haha. Keep an eye out for more SNS behind the scenes content!

*Fun Facts:

• This was actually the first ever animatic I edited in my life.
• I had to learn how to use Adobe Premiere in order to make it, since I didn't have much experience with the software or video editing in general.
