Just a drawing and some alts of a heavy power armor Colette. It's the usual big arms, tight abs, nice underwear variant. It's a little more 90's anime than anything else. But like... okay so I'm gonna take a minute to explain one of my weirder ideas. Originally, when I started this sketch, I was going to make it as though "What if Colette WAS the power suit?"

Bat Hug

I think at this point, it's commonly understood among comic book people that Batman can be caring and sensitive. In some portrayals of course, he's pretty one dimensional. But the best stuff seems to come out when Bruce is able to let some of his walls down. Dimensionality! It's usually easy to appreciate and it makes a nice narrative symmetry. A jerk can show a sensitive side. An outgoing person can reveal anxieties. A Batman can have a family.

Witchblade

I kinda feel like I could go sexier and more Badass with this. Witchblade is just one of those 1990's comic properties that is totally a product of it's time. Yet it has some staying power, thanks to just... being a fun and sexy concept. I definitely like the Anime story the most, but Sarah Pezzini pinups are always gonna be fun to look at. Not the most exciting of posts but I thought that top pic came out pretty good.

I am a LOT better now at anatomy than when I was when I started this year. I'm still not perfect at it but I'm getting a lot more comfortable with it. For one thing, I'm a lot more aware of just how many oblique muscles a human torso has. Before that, I was just sorta winging it based on how many curves I thought I saw!

Astral Chain

Oh wow, I think I ended up liking the one without any background colors a little better than the one with the background effects. I originally painted it with the colorful splash in mind but the one with the white background really makes the lineart and coloring on the characters pop.

There's something to be said about doing lots of preliminary art. It's often better to find out these things BEFORE you commit time to creating a background or trying to make something work that before you...

Gunmetal Back (pinup)

There's not a LOT to say about this other than I haven't drawn Gunmetal Colette in a little bit. I really like the cybernetic prosthetics and the scars that kinda show a battle hardness that's in a big contrast to her go get-em demeanor. Pour Over... (kinky peril)

She'll be fine! I really wanna practice more "effects" and one that would be fun to learn more is liquid. Good illustrated liquid has a lot of character that translates very well to illustrations. You should be able to tell the properties of a material just by the way the lines curve or the way light is shaded on it. In this case, I think the glow in the dark mutagen loses a little something because the way it glows it becomes harder to define where it's curving.

Enter the Florpus was great! I really liked Invader Zim back when it came out. I thought it's mix of nihilism with motivated energetic characters was unique. Of course there was the whole push back, people dismissed the "lol randum" humor. But I think it worked for Zim's case because it was more thoughtful than it even needed to be. It comes from specifically who the characters are, and its often used to further the plot.

Okay so I posted the above pic to some sites, so I wanted to add an alternate. It's a Cass pic and it's a "fetishy" pic so it probably didn't require much coaxing from me to do. Seein' Green

I have a design for Poison Ivy that I really like, and I think I should draw more often. I wanted to draw someone being angry and a Poison Ivy came out.

At the Beach

A Colette, Sticky Situation (silly, asfr, peril)

So like, my friends and I were watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. (One of my favorite animated movies, by the way.) And there's that scene where the characters just jump into a big castle of Jell-o. And the whole experience looked so cozy and fun and sweet.
