Cat box!

Sorry! Just a quick post today. It was a chibi Odessa for my friend Wierdseal. There's two versions of her, the furry Snow Leopard one and the regular girl one. I figured both versions would be fun for a tiny Christmas gift.

Anyway, Kid Melee and Evil Lass are enemies. There's a better than 90 percent chance that they're actually friendly rival classmates outside of the superhero/supervillain business. They get into fights regularly. The comic's fun!...

Caulifla

I still haven't finished watching Dragon Ball Super but I've been enjoying the interactions between Goku and Vegeta with the new Sayians. So I felt like drawing Caulifla as though she's in one of Goku's fighting uniforms. If any of those words didn't make sense to you, don't worry about it. I just think it's a fun show to keep up with!

Anyway, I wanted to do more painted rendering here. I think it pairs well with the pencils. But I need to be a little more clear on where all the muscles...

Anyway, been in a Star Wars mood lately. I wonder why... I guess laser swords and space ships just get me excited whenever they're on screen. But I should be getting some sleep soon! I'm meeting some friends today to see Star Wars Episode 9. Being up all night till 6am drawing comics tends to make it hard to time these things right. Still, it should be a fun time tomorrow. There can't be THAT much fan complaining again? Can there?

Character Sketch Commission

Another one of those recent commissions. This actually helped pay for a car rental!

I admit I missed out on a lot of the details of this one. Before I would try to listen to everything a commissioner had to say about their characters, because these people are very important to them. Honestly, I love the older lady here. She's the star of the show. It's up to the viewer to determine exactly what she's thinking but this is probably a town where it's not everyday you see someone walking around in their pjs. As a discord member said, Cocolette would be overdressed if it was Miami. But I'm thinking they're hundreds ...

Start to finish (pinup)

It's that Cocolette drawing again. I got it in my head that I wanted to complete this sketch. This was more just to experiment with faster inking. And I think it came out well. It felt good to do. Basically I tried not to fuss too much about getting the lines and anatomy perfect. It could be improved but I would also end up spending a lot more time. There are practical reasons to get faster. Getting art out on time is one thing, but being able to complete more ideas is another.

I'm really happy with this pic. I could spend some time cleaning it up to make it ready for posting but I think the soft colors and the scratchiness add something to it. Her face came out just about perfect though, so working on it some more would risk ruining the feel of the art.

Anyway, I've been getting back on my Dragonball kick again. And Android 18 was always a favorite character to draw. I think this got her attitude down really well.

Honestly tempted to make a "doujin" out of this. With Tracer practically purring as she's caught, "whatever will you do to me?" And Widow just strapping her into awkward and somewhat confusing positions for hours. And Tracer's just kinda getting frustrated and never TOTALLY getting what she wants out of it.

Party Cass!

Canonical outfit Cass Cain made for herself before a party. It's silly. It's a bad outfit. I kinda love it. I'd been meaning to sketch it for quite some time. I suppose it isn't that much different than how she appears in the comic, wearing it, but I wanted to make her expression a little more shy about it. Cass goes back and forth about how she wants to be seen by others, but I think it was fun to see her be adorkable about a party.

Whew boy am I tired but I got a lot of drawings done tonight including this one of Darkness from the show, Konosuba. She's fun. She's masochistic. Which ya know... can be pretty fun.

I'm trying to get more exaggerated in drawing my cartoons and kinky stuff. I suppose I've been doing that for a while. But I'm finding that exaggerating improves my speed. I'm less concerned with accuracy as much as I am with defining the gesture of the character.

Anyway, I'll probably be drawing more...
