I'm here to collect your thoughts for topics on this week's Love & Respect segment of the Easy Allies Podcast. We're getting too many good suggestions to fit in the show lately, so I won't coach you this time. If you would like to specifically flavor your questions and suggestions, our guests will be Brad Ellis and Michael Damiani. Remember to include your preferred name if you don't like the one here on Patreon.
You see correctly. I can't hold onto all the werehogs forever, because EZA Intramural Tournaments are officially becoming a monthly affair. This week we're looking at competing in Worms WMD, which we actually have a week early, Mario Kart 64 Battle Mode, because we miss this mode dearly, or Inversus, an indie game Jones and I got quickly attached to at E3 this year. Hello there Patrons! If you've been following me on Twitter or on my streams the past week, I've been talking about a new project I would be unveiling this week. Story Time with Damiani is a personal show that focuses on my experience growing up with video games. In this pilot episode, I discuss how I first encountered video games as a kid, which as you probably could have guessed, has to deal with Nintendo. Specifically, the original Nintendo Entertainment System.
So Patreon is a little borked today and all of your comments from the last vote keep disappearing. Because of this, I have no choice but to revert back to the old (and vulnerable) voting method: online polls!
The time has come once again to cast your vote for the next Dumb Game to be featured on Dumb Game Monday. Today I'll give you a little insight into how I gather the candidates. I go to GameStop and shamelessly search all platforms for games I'm mostly unfamiliar with, games whose very titles show great potential. On my last trip, a disproportionate amount of these games were Wii games, so we're doing a Wii-only version of Dumb Game Monday this round. And look, no...
No Man's Sky was a bit emotionally draining to review. It started on such a high note. At first, exploring the seemingly infinite universe was exciting and fulfilling. After about 10 or so hours, I was surprised how similar it all began to feel. It was almost like looking behind the Wizard of Oz curtain. Initially, the game seemed so magical, but I so realized the magic was skin deep. Do you agree? Let me know.
In this episode I talk about video games. A common complaint about Easy Update is sometimes I don't talk about video games so in this episode I talk about video games. For an hour and a half. Straight.

On this episode of Tabletop Escapades, our heroes start exploring a dark and mysterious island. Without getting into any spoilers, the party has never encountered anything quite like this and I'm excited to see if they're up to the challenge. It's a bit different than anything we've done in the past. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm here to collect your topics and questions for the Love & Respect segment for this week's Easy Allies Podcast in the comments section below. Just a reminder: these don't always have to be phrased as questions. If there's just something going on in gaming that you'd like us to talk about, current events or otherwise, you can just tell us talk about it. The games you've sent so far have been very fun, so please keep those coming too! Remember to includ...
On today's Frame Trap, we get heated about Nintendo! NX reports have our imaginations running wild and we offer up some ideas that we'd like to see on the upcoming console. There's also quite a bit of chatter about Another Metroid 2 Remake, Abzu, Overwatch, World of Warcaraft: Legion, Batman: The Telltale Series, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Batman: The Killing Joke, and The Night Of. (Timestamps included on YouTube and the audio feeds).
I tried another game for this episode and it didn't exactly w...
Our 20th review and Brad's second comes with this beautiful little JRPG that really feels like a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger. I've put a bit of time into the intro and personally I appreciate having a JRPG that isn't some 100 hour monster. Looking forward to playing more.

Bloodworth came up with the idea for this week's group stream: giving our closest 2nd places a second chance. I went through all of the votes we ever conducted and found the slimmest losses in...
It's hot, but we made it through another Q&A, answering inquiries on pets, dream game lineups, sports teams and more. Pledge at $20 or above to ask questions and view live each month.
The thoughts and opinions keep on rolling in from our vocal community, generating another hilarious and introspective comments video. These are so much fun for me to put together. I love having more and more insight into how you all are spending your time thinking and gaming. Ben will leave a separate post for our $10 and above Patrons to leave a comment for this month's video. Have a great August, Allies!
Ben's seen a lot of the new Civ. He got a first look before E3, checked out the E3 demo, and recently went to 2K's offices to play a bit more. Check out his meaty new preview to learn how Firaxis is trying to tackle the difficult task of improving on Civ V. --Bloodworth
Huber takes a break from video games to talk about the best films of the year so far. (I mentioned Green Room a few weeks back so I left it out. Also I love Civil War but not as much as Winter Soldier.)
I told you we wouldn't have a set format for previews. As I was planning E3, I came across this game called Beat Cop that I thought would be perfect for Don. He wasn't able to cover it at the show, but went by the booth and made contact with the developer. He didn't let the case go cold, and now the fruits of those plans have gloriously come to bear as he explores the seedy underbelly of low-level police work. -Bloodworth
This week's Easy Allies Podcast is here for you! Very slim news week this week, so the discussions get a little loosey-goosey, but I believe in the end we still made a fun show. Secret video link above, secret audio link below.
Our patrons have been asking for new reward tiers for some time, and today I'm introducing Blood Pact for pledges at the $75 level.
By joining Blood Pact, you'll be part of a small knit group, similar to a book club. I'll post once a week to start a conversation with the group, and we'll essentially whittle our way down to a game we'd like to play together.
On the last Thursday of the month, I'll do an extended stream of a game chosen by the Blood Pact, and if you...
This week on Tabletop Escapades, the situation at sea intensifies and the party learns some deep dark secrets.
This is a fun episode. Now that the party has sort of transitioned fully out of the last story arc, they can now start something entirely new. Some story beats coming up are very, very exciting and I can't wait to see how the group deals with them.
Ben, Brad, Damiani, and Ian embark on a journey into Final Fantasy XIV's new random dungeon, Palace of the Dead. Do they survive the ordeal or fail spectacularly?
I might be running behind schedule this week, but there's still plenty of time for a little Love and Respect! I want to know what you'd like us to talk about in the Love & Respect segment in this week's Easy Allies Podcast. This segment is becoming a big part of the reason we have a great show each week, so keep up these diverse and fun questions, topics, and games. Remember to include a preferred name if you don't like the one here on Patreon.
My review for Abzu is up. Was fun taking a break from the retrospective and turning this around fairly quickly. I stopped capturing entirely after the third area so the review is spoiler-free.

This is our series finale for Brandon Plays Pokémon! It's been a long road, one with lots of unexpected twists, pitfalls, little annoying pebbles, laughs, tears, and TMs, but now we come to a most expected end of this path: the final battle. Personally speaking, I like this episode more for Jones' final thoughts on Pokémon, from someone who has never played it before to veritable superfan, but I'm sure many of you are excited to see the final battle....
