PAX West 2017 Wrap Up

I wish we had time to check out more games, but with a short schedule and an unexpected flight delay we came back with just a handful of impressions. What was fortunate was that we got to experience some of these games, like UFO 50 and Steamworld Dig 2, as a group. Feel free to share anything you might have seen at the show that deserves attention.

Scheduling Information About the Next Two EZAnime Episodes

Hi everybody! I realize that info has been scarce on when EZAnime is returning, but I have good news! The Castle in the Sky episode will premiere on Saturday, September 9. Unfortunately, Huber won't be joining us this time, so it will just be myself and Brad.

Secondly, the next episode will be on Gundam 08th MS Team. The idea was proposed by Brad and considering it's my favorite Gundam series that I've seen, I happily agreed. The 08th MS Team episode premiers on Saturday, September 30.

Tabletop Escapades - Episode 73 Audio Only

On today's Tabletop Escapades, the fight against the Huntress gets increasingly bizarre.

Patron DnD update: In the ruined city of Kalveed, the party is still split up into two groups: one group that flew into the city on dragons and another that teleported via dwarven magic. The dragon group encountered a small team of Nightingales and defeated them. During the battle, they discovered a human child. The child's parents are nowhere to be found, likely killed during the Nightingale invasion.

Next Game Sleuth Coming in September

Really sorry that I only really dropped the hints about the next episode of Game Sleuth in the Montly EZA fan mail (those who were on my list) and the random stream here and there, but wanted to make sure everyone sees this so they know what's going on with the new episode.

I actually planned on having this go up sooner in the month rather than later, but I am in heavy crunch mode trying to get the next episode of Game Sleuth wrapped up and ready to go into production. Not gonna lie, this week...

PAX West 2017 Panel - “A Crowdfunded Story”

This year we hosted our first panel at PAX West, “Easy Allies: A Crowdfunded Story.” It’s a look at some of the biggest lessons we’ve learned in 1 and 1/2 years of operation, and a collection of some (hopefully) amusing behind-the-scenes stories. Starring myself, Kyle Bosman, and Ian Hinck, it took place in the Sasquatch Theater on Sunday, September 3rd at 12:30 PM.

Thank you to everyone that made it out in person, but if you missed it, here’s the best recording we could put to...

Destiny 2 Preview

Hey everyone, a couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to go to Seattle to spend three days with Destiny 2. If you've been listening to EZA/GT for awhile, you know that I've loudly complained about Destiny 1 in the past. It's a game I sunk a fair bit of time into but found myself  frustrated by the storytelling and structure.

To my surprise, Destiny 2 is a huge improvement on both fronts. Anyone expecting a completely different game will be disappointed. It's very much a refinement of...

Friend Code Ep 10 - Question Submission

It's that time again. We'll be recording Friend Code this coming Friday with Kyle Bosman and Brad Ellis joining me on the panel. So submit your Nintendo related questions and we'll get to as many as we can. We will be discussing the recent Nintendo Direct that showcased some new Nindies, as well as some other news.

Also, I feel like it's time to change the name of our Q&A segment to fit into our Nintendo theme. So, I was thinking of renaming it Player's Pulse (after the fan mail section in...

Coen Brothers Reaction Shots Discussion Topic

Hello you wonderful movie lovers!  Here is the discussion topic for the next episode of Reaction Shots about the Coen Brothers!

The Coen Brothers are among the most beloved living filmmakers, having dipped their toes into almost every genre (or is 'Coen Brothers' its own genre by now?) over the course of their 17 feature films.  Let's talk about  them and their work!

Example films (surprise, it's all of their movies!): Blood Simple.; Raising Arizona; Miller's Crossing; Bar...

Total War: Warhammer II - Skaven Race Preview

Recently I had the chance to spend about an hour with Total War: Warhammer II. More specifically, I got to see what the Skaven race was all about. While it's difficult to grasp everything about a Total War faction in such a limited amount of time, it's clear to me that Warhammer II is a game worth being excited about, even for someone like me who isn't well versed in Warhammer lore. Seeing a massive horde of rats demolish elves was extremely enjoyable and makes me want to spend a lot more time w...

Who Observes the Observer? - Easy Update

As for this week, I do a little ditty about friends or whatever then Huber and I play Observer!  A very cool cyberpunk sort of affair with pretty wild visuals and really cool transitions.  An example of something that video games can do really well I think, disorienting transitions t...
