I'm not sure where I was going with this one - I think Takai had just grown very big, very quickly, and lost her balance in the process.

Patron's Choice - You May Kiss the Bride

It was our first kiss as a married couple. A truly special moment in our lives. And it was only made a little silly by the fact that a stool was involved.

COMM - A Bridge Too Far

So during yesterday's stream, I got the time to finish this commission for my good friend Meister Li. :D 

I had so much fun with this. Shorty is such a great character, and honestly, the hardest part of this was picking an idea to move forward with. There are too many great possibilities as far as trouble she could get into at the Golden Gate Bridge, but getting tangled up while trying to get the perfect selfie angle is just too fun.  We might be seeing a lot more Shorty sometime soo...

I'm sorry for the lack of In-Progress pictures this week! I've been plowing ahead on commissions, and I'm not positive if I want to post in-progress pictures of these or if I should hold onto them until the picture is complete and ready to be posted. Good news though! The first commission is in the shading phase, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it in the next couple of days!

Vault - A Simpler Time

So on our trip, we drove by one of those places that advertised being like an authentic settlement on the frontier, and Takai suggested I draw us trying our hand at the farming life.

Apparently goats don't like me, and Takai has like the tiniest milking pail ever. Don't ask me how she sleeps (or fits inside) that cabin.

Vault - Snug

I really like how the shading came out on this old one, even if the faces look a little stretched. 

(Also, I apologize if I accidentally repost an old picture. I am trying to get a good organization system for knowing what I've uploaded already, and Patreon doesn't really give you an at-a-glance view of all of your posts, so you have to handle that part on your own.)

Announcement: Commissions

So I've been thinking about this a while, and with the latest round of medical bills, it's become clear I need to step up my game a little bit. Here's the plan. Sometime in February, I'm going to open up commissions. I want to give patrons first dibs on commissions, so everyone here will get priority. I'm going to post updated prices, along with the sign up sheet, as soon as it's all ready. Keep your eyes peeled, and start getting your ideas in order. :)

Enjoying the View?

I 100% blame NCMares for this. After tuning into a recent stream where he was drawing kaiju-sized ponies in a city, I felt inspired (or brainwashed) to  draw one in my own style. For some reason, she's not as intimidating as I thought she'd be, despite the fact that she's occupying an entire city park (and all of the crossroads and sidewalks surrounding it).

Part of me wants to try drawing this again from Cee's point of view, but I just don't think I have the perspective skills necessary ...

I Could Have Thought this Through Better

So the theme last month was 'The first time I intentionally made Takai grow'. Well, making someone grow against their will, especially when things can get out of hand rather quickly, is a bit rude. So I drew the first time I intentionally did something that inadvertently made her grow.

In my defense, we hadn't been dating that long yet, and... it kinda just slipped my mind. Needless to say, I was summarily buried in a sudden blizzard.

Tea has her own way of getting Cee's attention. Sometimes it's a playful bump. Sometimes that playful bump rocks foundation the entire building.

I don't know why I've been making so many sticker designs lately. It's not like I have a machine that could even print them.  I might shade this before the end of the month, but I'm thinking there won't be enough time.

Patreon Feedback - 2016

Hi folks!

So I'm looking back at this year, and I am trying to clean Patreon up some and shore up the infrastructure a little bit. I want to utilize tags more so it's easier to find things, and I want to schedule posts to ensure things like vault sketches get released on a regular basis. Also, I need to update my goals, since we've pretty much demolished the $200 goal, and I've been streaming a few times a month since then.

 So, a while back, I started making some gift art for a couple of really good friends of mine. I started them at different times for different reasons, and it just so happened that they were going to get finished around the holidays, so I gave them a bit of a winter spin.

This one is of GoatTrain's Al and SugaryViolet's Emi. I swear, these two are so cute they raise my blood sugar. I'm so excited they found each other, and I'm so glad I finally got to draw them.
