Hi Guys, I've been busy sorting out a few new enhancements and fixing some bugs that were logged. Main point though is this version includes a new thumbnail engine which you can enable in settings (see below). This will dramatically improve the time it takes to thumbnail videos! Try it. Import tags is also fixed in this release.

There's also a few more plugins added which I've converted from v1 to v2.

Thought I'd update you with what I've been working on this last couple of weeks. As you know I've now released v2 in .NET 6.0 and at the same time did some housekeeping with the code. However this was just enough to get a good solid build and update some libraries.

Hi Guys,

As promised on an earlier post I'd release a new version with .NET 6.0. Well here it is! I've also updated all other libraries used including the thumbnails engine. For me, it does feel quicker and performing better overall but I'll let you judge for yourselves.

Hi All, apologies I was hoping to release a new version this week with playlist capability and some more bugs fixed. However I have been ill with Covid for a few days and this has slowed down progress. I'm feeling a little better now and will focus on getting the new release out next week.

Hi guys, a few of you have kindly let me know about bugs on 2.1 and so I've spent weekend fixing these, also added some visual changes to the results.

Fixes include :-

1. FIXED : Ability to edit keywords, tagline, trailer URL etc on the edit media screen.

2. FIXED : When starting a new system and scanning for first time the results don't appear until refresh. This was a bug with Title (A-Z) being the sort order by default.

I've managed to implement timed tags finally! There was a little complexity to the editing feature which delayed me slightly but I'm glad to say I've now got it working nicely.

To use timed tags you'll need to launch the inbuilt media player and right click to show the context menu. Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay this week on this, I had a few issues with the installer build. However here is the new v2 and the corresponding AI 1.2 to go with it. I've upgraded the AI libraries in AI too to the latest from Microsoft and I have to say, they feel much quicker - but you tell me if you notice the difference.

Main thing with v2 is that I'm classing this as a beta and removed the prototype messages and now have the AI integration fully implemented, hence the AI release...

Latest Pornspective v2 Alpha 6

Hi Guys, as highlighted in the post a few days ago I've made some great progress on v2 this last few weeks. The browsers and filters are done, so is the detail screen for tags when using the choosers. I've also implemented the external players such as PotPlayer and VLC.

Pornspective v2 Progress Update

Hi Guys, just a quick post to show you some of the new screens in Pornspective v2 which I'm going to drop another Alpha build off this week.

I've implemented the details screen now for tags, i.e. screen that appears from the top when you use the People, Studio or Action choosers. This now allows you to see videos, images, other tags etc. See the Margot Reece example in the screenshots.

Hi guys, I am back now after my house move. It turned out that it took 3 weeks for me to have broadband installed and was having to use 4G signal via my mobile phone for internet access. Thankfully all is much better now I have fully internet access, thank you for all you patience. I'm hoping to upload another version of v2 shortly.

Pornspective v2 Alpha

Hi guys, as I've mentioned in my recent posts I'm getting close to v2 being full enough to be considered a release. Well I think I'm at the stage where I can say we are at an alpha release. I've enabled the saves and the scanning of indexes, implemented most things such as licensing, archiving, editing etc.

This release still has some finer detail to polish on, there are a few items I've still got to add functionality to and I know that there is still some strange behaviours in resizing...

Hi Guys, v2 is getting closer by the day. I've been working several areas which I'm pleased to say are now done. I'll build up another prototype for you to have a look in the next few days.

Pornspective v2 Plugins and More ....

Hi Guys, another update on where I am with v2. I've been working on the remaining missing pieces of functionality that I listed in a previous post. I've now implemented the Plugin framework again and solved a problem I knew I had with the user interface in the plugins not being compatible (the screens where you edit plugin settings).

Pornspective v2 Update

Hi Guys, I've been working hard on v2 this week and last weekend. I've managed to put the content editor together which was pretty difficult to get right with the automatic tagging and the user interface quite complex - but I think I've managed it!

I've also included direct editing of content by clicking the preview panel at the bottom on the item you want to edit. This is just a demo of UI at moment, I've disabled the actual save until I've tested functionality more.

Hi guys, I'm working on v2 heavily this weekend and plan is to implement the edit media screen (where you can add tags, modify title, rate, posters etc). The one in v1 does the job but its slow and clunky in my opinion and doesn't meet todays slick UI/UX standards for users.

I ultimately want to make the control available directly on the main screen for those with larger screen setups and have the space so I need it to be pretty simple to use and fast to interact with.

I've not been as frequent on my posts recently but nevertheless still been busy working on both Pornspective 1.11.1 and the eagerly awaited v2. I'll soon be posting both of these for you to download in early September.

It's been a while since I last updated you all so wanted to post progress on where I am with v2 and changes to v1.

I was conscious that v1 had not had much done to it for a while whilst I was concentrating on v2 so I've spent some time (all reusable in v2) working on v1. Last week it was reported that the IAFD plugin was down. I've spent a lot of time this week trying to work out how to fix it but yet not able to solve the issue. I know exactly what has a happened and why its broke but I'll not share it on the posts as if I do manage to fix it I'd not want other software developers copying the solution which would mean it would probably break again .. I will keep trying to work a way around this.
