The hard part is done - All Engines Complete
Guys, I want to let you know that all game engines are now complete.
It's an insane road, and likely the biggest project of my life..
✅ RTS engine
✅ RPG engine
✅ Visual Novel Engine
✅ RPG Combat Engine
✅ All tested, with fully playable scenes.
✅ 30+ hours of gameplay (targeting 70 - lots of girls to meet, enemies to fight)

Sneak peak in the Briefing Hold
Don't watch if you want to wait until the video release of Neph's battle.
Still adding stuff, and fixing a few things but you get the general idea... This will then switch to a cool briefing style i've worked out.
It's all coming together.
After this current scene I'm working on (Neph), i'll start doing more interior design for the blackfleet ships
The current work, is getting me close to finishing off all the Automation i need to push stuff out 10x faster.
I'll knock out 3 or 4 battles just like Nephs, (it should take 2 days only - given all the pieces are done for automating now).
After that, i want to start designing Vess's quarters (a liqueur cabinet, rare ancient trinkets and her secret plans and diary).
Then i'll do the Gym where Gia works out.
Aphoros's power core and her quarters.

Going to post some short highlights from selected parts see how they do guys
Working on Vess and her Sister Tiff's relationship
In the game you first meet Tiff but I want to leave subtle hints about Vess and their relationship.
Both of them are top of the food chain, and questionable ethics - but they are both highly competent too. The difference lies in how far their ethics diverge - Tiff serves the Vanguard and puts job first. But when shes' off duty, anything goes.
Vess is as corrupt as they come, having built her own empire in piracy and now laundering her money through the purchase of the black fleet....
This art piece though cool, didn't make the cut..
The scene depicts a human crew storming one of Neph's ships, some teams made their objectives - others didn't.
in this scene, the soldier pinned down has just pulled the pin from the grenade.
The artist was cool ,but unfortunately we did a couple others and the style didn't quite make it to expectations. I do think I should re-do this scene with one of my main three.

RPG Support Drones
Some of you may have noticed the wee cute support drone.
I spent a half day building it out, the code is complex, but the game is Drone Commander after all.
Now the game is getting closer to all main pillars in place, I can start building out the smaller stuff.

Game dev has come so far now..
I'm just over the Year and a half mark of development - I had a look at kickstarter and steam and found both smaller and bigger games, were developed more than twice as long with teams of 10+ Some with big budgets.
In a way, that fills me with a lot of pride, Drone Commander, with characters like Fel, Straker, Morrigan, Tabby, Yeverii - really (at least to me) sets the game apart from anything else out there.
I'll give a more thorough update in Kira's DevLog, but I want to say ...

Assuming you are not wandering on your own at night, a stern rejection (especially in public) will usually be respected by Sekarri women. Most will take it for what it is. The more persistent girls will be cowed, they might switch to a charm based approach, bide their time or get sneaky.
They generally wont be forceful, unless they think you are leading them on.
Sekarri men often play the women off each other, "err sorry, I'm waiting for my dates."
