Is Ro Laren one of Star Trek fandom's "favorites"? (independent of Andy)

I was always just neutral on her, and looking back it didn't help that Ro didn't share with Picard what the Cardassians did to that village in the last TNG episode. That Kristallnacht moment was the last straw for her which made her turn make sense, but Picard was left largely in the dark about why she made that sudden turn. All that said, Imposters was perfectly written and acted and made me love her forever. *sigh

Out went Wesley and eventually in came Ro, a clear improvement on the TNG show dynamic. She would have been great as a regular on DS9.
