Thanks for the info!! Strange they portrayed Dike in this way then really! I wonder what the thinking was behind that. Absolutely LOVED this show but seems they really messed up in certain areas!

Herbert Suerth Jr. (the soldier at the very beginning telling the story about his broken legs)….he’s the paratrooper at the end of “Crossroads” that everyone else is telling him he needs extra socks. Frederick “Moose” Heyligher….he’s the lieutenant that briefly took over Easy Company at the end of “Crossroads” before he was accidently shot while walking with Winters. Also notice there was no mention of either Sobel or Dike in this documentary. Sobel didn’t have a great life after the war. I won’t get into the details but he had a sad ending unfortunately. And Lt. Dike in real life wasn’t the the guy you see in the series. Dike was actually a very competent leader.

You should look him up and one his songs on yt. you will be amazed. Second less know fact is buck compton was an all american in baseball and football. football football not trip on your bootstring and roll on the ground for ten minutes football 😁
