THIRD PREVIEW: A Higurashi Gou & Sotsu Post-Mortem (+ More May Updates)

Hey guys!

I'm back with another 20-ish-minute preview (find the others here and here). The whole first hour of the video is now up on here! I've edited beyond this point, but I'm planning to post another preview in about a week, and then probably the last a week after that, capping it at the end of the Satokowashi stuff before I get into Sotsu, which marks about a third of the video as a whole (I talk about Meguri as well, hence why the Satokowashi portion of the video is so long lol -- longer than anything else on my channel just by itself!). I'm aiming to have the final video up not too long after that last preview. I'm going through checks for my new job right now and don't have a start date yet but it should be soon and even starting a week earlier or later could have a considerable impact on this, though, so we'll see. Either way, it will for sure be out this summer, and hopefully pretty early in the season! I'm constantly amazed I'm still able to enjoy working on this video after so long (over six months now), but I really am. Editing is usually far from my favourite part of the video-making process, but editing Higurashi stuff feels like home. I'm really happy with how the video is turning out -- the part this preview ends on is a favourite of mine!

In other news, I recently translated the drama CD for Limit from Kataribanashi-hen, because there's nothing like winding down from working on Higurashi stuff by working on more Higurashi stuff. It was my first time translating this much Japanese and it was a really fun challenge. Needless to say, I think it's great and well worth the listen, even if you've already read the manga -- there are quite a few new and extended scenes. If you aren't familiar with it, it focuses on Keiichi and Mion's relationship, and how Shion feels about it. I'm planning to do more translations from now on when I have the time -- I have a chapter from an anthology manga I own that I've scanned in, and a scene from another drama CD that I started a while back, both also KeiMii-centric. There's mountains of untranslated Higu stuff out there, and no shortage of things I'd like to get around to translating if I get the chance.
