THE RITUAL commentary track!

Hi patrons! This month's commentary track is on THE RITUAL since I know a lot of you wanted me to cover it on the Kill Count but I still don't know how to legally obtain video footage of Netflix movies to do so! So hopefully this will be an appeasement until I can figure out how to do it.

Watch on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/80217312

I was joined by Leo Camacho! He's on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mrleozombie/, on Twitter at https://twitter.com/LeoZombie, and on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCoL4vFL9yet5CQKEKvM0zg So check him out! And thank you as always!!

"I don't want to pay taxes. I want to be a witch." Same, Chelsea. Same.

It's more fun for me when you haven't seen it or don't know what is going to happen

Calvin Allen

*late to comment*.. If I haven't seen the film, I find it fun to watch with you guys for the first time (like this one). If i have seen it and you guys are asking questions or miss a part i find myself talking to the computer trying to tell you haha. That is on me to read the description to see if anyone has seen it though- love your content!

Moss grows in damp, cool, shady areas. In the northern hemisphere, the sun rises slightly to the south, making the north side of things shadier. Therefore, moss grows more heavily on the shaded northern side of trees. Naturally, in the southern hemisphere, the sun rises slightly north and so moss grow more heavily on the south side of trees.

Christopher Nichols

Commenting as I'm watching lol. You guys should go back to about 40 minutes when Luke goes off alone. Before the jump scare when he is staring at the trees you can see a hand kind of moving. It blends with the tree a bit but it's one of those "when you see it" scares.

Alex Dunkley

So why does moss mostly grow facing north?

I will love to see you do a review of the movie called ugly and and a movie called Guardian. Thanks so much if you can do these movies. Because Robert England recommended them.

Sam Pagan

I personally prefer the raw, first impression aspect. When I'm watching a movie for the first time with me son or friends, the reaction we share is our natural, instinctual response. I do see the benefit of watching the movie first and building a quality commentary, but you also lose some of the rawness as well. Maybe you can do both. One month, pre-watch to build commentary and the next month raw-dog that shit. Either way, I'm there dude.

Thanks for the swift reply. I am interested to see if I am alone in this, which I feel I may very well be but I like listening to commentaries, not reaction videos, haha. :)

Jimmy Brown

Thanks for the feedback, Jimmy! I'll definitely take that into consideration. I'd also love to know what other patrons think and if they agree - if you're reading this, please comment with your thoughts!

Guys, as someone who has recorded many commentaries, may I give you some super friendly advice? Watch the film that you are going to commentate on first. You are not getting the proper experience this way. Watch the film, take notes then research if you must after seeing it. Obviously, if you have seen the film, you don't really have to but I always do just to refresh my memory. I love you guys (it's why I'm a Patron) but I personally don't find you recording your first watch entertaining. I know you guys can do amazing commentaries, like your videos and podcasts so maybe do some on films you like. Even if you have done a Kill Count on them. It is much better recording with an opinion (positive or negative) already formed, trust me :)

Jimmy Brown

I COMPLETELY did not recognize him

at first I was on James' side. I love camping and hiking.... now I'm on Chelsea's side. fuck that. and I loved all of the Lost references

I couldn't believe that out of the entire commentary cast, none of you have seen Downton Abbey. The actor who played Hutch was one of the main characters.
