Here's this week's video, delivered early just for you! Thanks, patrons!
Turns out the "Me Tie Doughty Walker" Jangly man monster didn't exist in the book but the phrase did. It follows a man who has a head fall down his chimney every night so he hires anyone willing to stay the night and give them $200. One boy accepts but only if his dog comes. Nothing happens until after midnight, then the pair hear faint singing of "Me tie doughty walker" and the dog starts to sing a tune as well as the "Me tie doughty walker" singing gets closer and closer to them from the woods. Then out of no where a head drops from the chimney scaring the dog to death and after the head come the limbs. The monster "Jangly Man" was partially inspired by that story and used the same phrase.

Going into this movie, I didn't know it was set in the 60's or took place in PA (home state) and it was so cool to see the characters go to Pennhurst Asylum, an actual place in central PA!

Oh cool! I worked security on night shift at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Center while going to University of Western Ontario in London, ON in '97 - '98. It was the most boring job ever
