As an MMA fighter, Cole’s style uses a lot of boxing moves, and his main weakness is his defense. The armor helps boost his defense. The tonfas are probably the best weapon you could give a boxer, because they allow Cole to use skills he already has instead of forcing him to learn new ones. If you give a boxer a sword and no training, they’re going to cut themselves. If you give a boxer tonfas, you’re literally giving them the ability to STAB PEOPLE WITH THEIR PUNCHES.
