However he was cursed with that mole which any female who gazes upon it will instantly fall in love with him. That’s why the kings daughter had an affair with diarmuid. They fell in love, the king didn’t accept it and bid them farewell as he took her with him. And as you saw the king after trying to kill him decided to just pretend he forgave him and then slaughtered him.
