The one time Kree and Clara try moving closer south came with a big consequence, but before that Clara was able to see some of the wonders being near the equator has in store! One of these wonders is being able to witness raw magia burst out from their underground root systems into the air.
During the Great Sweep, magia floods towards the equator to get away from the cold of the north and far south. Due to the sheer amount of migrating magia, the root systems they use to travel become heavily crowded, causing movement to slow. Once it reaches the point where movement stops entirely, pressure builds until the Magia bursts from under the ground out into the air!
Magia is only able to float where the air is humid and warm so the north never gets a hint of this kind of spectacle, but it is quite a thing to behold (from a safe distance of course. Get too close and the intense heat can harm vulnerable creatures like humans.)
