Deafening (2022)

Navigating across Brad's chest, Ethan's diminutive size made him blend seamlessly with Brad's shirt, rendering him nearly invisible. What Ethan didn't know was Brad's well-concealed secret: his eyesight was notably poor, a detail Brad seldom shared with others, preferring to cope with it quietly. This unfortunate reality meant that Ethan's efforts were in vain, as Brad's impaired vision prevented him from noticing the tiny figure almost directly in front of him. Meanwhile, Brad's afternoon continued as usual, undisturbed and ordinary, as he watched a comedy movie, completely unaware of Ethan's desperate attempts to signal his presence.
A sudden outburst of laughter boomed through the air like a thunderous roar, halting Ethan in his tracks. The giant's laughter was so deafening that covering his ears did nothing to muffle the overwhelming sound.
Ethan's cry of pain pierced the air. "BRAD!!!! STOP!!!!" he shouted, his voice lost amidst the enormity of his surroundings. Ethan's ears were filled with a piercing sound, causing him excruciating pain as he desperately tried to block out the overwhelming noise.
Despite being closer to Brad than ever since his shrinking, Ethan remained unseen and unheard. Brad's laughter eventually faded, and he returned his attention to the TV, engulfed in what seemed like silence to him, oblivious to Ethan's plight.
