Taking the book, I try to open it, but it did not budge instead a prompt opened up asking me if I wished do learn the content of this book. Choosing yes, the book started to turn into light that moved towards my head. When all the light was gone blue boxes opened up.

That comment, regional commend crystal is getting really annoying. I wonder what will happen when I visit one. But that’s later on right now I have a lot of things to meditate about. I start with the new skill. There is so much information about how and why runes work. Basically, a rune works as an essence modification. You feed essence into it and you get an effect back, similar to water entering a water turbine and giving you electricity.

How well will it work will depend on your affinity to that type of turbine. For me, druidic runes seem to be excellent. Too bad there was no information about how other classes work their essence into powers. Understanding all that this skill gave me will take time, but it will be essential for the future.

Diving into my Rune modification and founding out how important it is, has left me shocked. Not only can I modify my runes do be better suited to me it also helps me great links with my different runes do get new utility. Deciding to test it out I concentrate on my land connection and land scan runes and connect them. The results are underwhelming, there is no difference in results. Maybe it’s because I am on my land.

Next, I start circling essence into my new rune. It’s a little disorientating, but I have experience in those feeling from my previous runes. When I open my eyes there so much color all around me. I just take some time do look at it all. Eventually, my sight drifts to the horizon, where I can see colors clustered at different locations.

Standing up and looking around, there are so many locations where there is more essence then normal. Not only looking but trying do feel them I find that only a few are as strong or stronger than my farm location. Deciding to try linking my runes do see if I can boost my essence site, even more, I sit back down and start experimenting.

Over the night I tried everything and finally found the most amazing combination ever. It uses four runes, but the end effect is magnificent. It takes a lot of time do set up and at the start, I did not think it worked, but there wasn’t the same feedback I got if runes were not compatible. So, I continued, and it turned out great.

At the start there I could only feel my land, but the longer I kept going further my sight went. There were barely any details beyond my own land, but there was a sense of how much essence there was and what kind. More importantly, if I focus on one location long enough, I am able to reveal teleport nodes if there are any, so no need to visit places before I can teleport there.

I break off my search, for now, need do eat, and rest then try to push this ability as far as I can. The next morning, I start my search. Two days later I nearly collapse from exhaustion. I was able to search all of the earth. There were so many locations luckily for earth most of them were weak. Strongest was in Canada and the USA border close do the west coast. There was 2 strong location in the Amazon. I place a location beacon near them all. I had two beacons left and used them on one that is in the Australian outback. This one does not even reach the top 10 in strength, but it is large in the area. Close do the land area of Switzerland.

The last one is a place in the USA Utah states lower right corner. This one is not the strongest if my guess is right there will be E tier monsters there. I need to expiries more battel and learn do use all my abilities before I go and try to fight the strongest enemies I can find.

Preparing to go did not take long I pack for a few days of food and water bring my bag and ax. Standing in front of an oak tree I ready for a step that will take me across half the world. Taking a big breath, I step in. When my foot hits the ground the first thing, I feel is a really hot teleport rune on my wrist.

The first thing I do is send a pulse do see if there is any danger here. Seeing nothing dangerous I start looking around. It is so different from my forest, but still similar just a lot drier here. And mountains all around the color scheme seams different my has green on greed but here its green on really light brown. The essence is stronger here than on my farm, but I am still some distance from the central location.

There Is little refined essence here but still some. That means two things that someone controlled the dungeon or there is someone killing dungeon monsters. Moving towards the center I notes clusters of corrupted nature. They were not problems until I noticed a huge beehive. There are mountains of bones around it. I start slowly backing away when I hear buzzing from behind me. A few seconds later my scan hits a cluster on 7 dog size bees caring a dead deer.

Quickly I pull my ax and start looking for stones. Moments later I found a cluster of loose rocks. I start circulating essence, then start throwing rocks as hard and accurately as I can. First misses but the second hits one of the bees wings and it crashes bringing the deer down with it. The rest start flying towards me, I keep throwing rocks and ground four more bees before they reach me.

I dodge the first bees stinger that is pointed at my head and rush the second bee. The bee mostly dodges the hit. Sensing the first bee striking again I dodge. Now both bees are doing flybys on me. Thanks, do my scan I move away from the grounded bees while dodging both bees. I start trying to hit them while the attack. I do not find much success at first, but slowly I start wounding them. Few more passes and I have a better handle on how to move and when.

Having cleaved both of the flying bees in two I move on to the grounded one. Killing them is as easy as the goblins were. I note that the bees give me extremely little essence that is similar do the bear core but not the same as it’s a different flavor.

When I reach the dead deer, I found to my surprise that it has canines. Looks like this deer was corrupted or maybe mutated fits better. The scan does not reveal core on any of the bees or the deer. I look towards the beehive. Doing some rough estimation on the diameter of the bees and the hive there is around the room for about 30 bees.

I can see around 10 bees working on building the hive bigger and creating supports for the hive. Looks like the hive started from a large tree and was built from there. Now it's starting to look like a huge treehouse. Right now, there are a few bees but what if over time they expand to hundreds or thousands. The best thing do to is to kill them now.

I am confident that I can kill them with one hit when they attack me. So, I just need them not do swarm me and I can do it. Standing as far as I can throw rock form the hive, I look at the collected pile of them. Picking a nice one I start the bombardment of the hive.

Throwing them in an arc I had three rocks in the air when the first hit. I keep going as fast as I can. More and more bees start flying around the hive looking for the attacker. When one section of the hive collapses the bees start flying in expanding circles do find me. I manage do collapse another section of the hive when I am finally found, and every bee starts flying towards me. 

Turning around I start running away from them. They were closing fast but my coal was archived to stretch out their attack so they can’t swarm me. When the first ones are close, I turn and start killing them when they attack me. Some dodge me, but too little too late. There are currently 10 still alive that are trying to swarm me. I keep moving and attacking, but best I have archived is glancing blows.

It took over half an hour of constant fighting do finally kill them all. I had scratches from there clawed feet but luckily no stinger came close to penetrating my skin. Breathing hard from the intense fight I can’t keep a smile from my face. I hear cracking and look towards the hive. There is a huge bee crawling out from the center of the hive.

It instantly locked on to me and jumps into the air a huge buzzing noise starts when the bee queen is airborne. It only flies for some moments before it falls down to the ground where it looks dazed for a moment before it starts running towards me at a decadent speed.

Turns out physics still refuses do give up and keep influencing reality the best it’s able to. I reach into my bag and start throwing rocks, but they just keep clanging off not doing any damage. Fighting that thing head-on will not go well. I quickly start running parallel to the hive. When I see that I can make past the queen bee I head straight for the hive.

It was a close call when I passed the queen bee, but I made passed her. Quickly reaching the hive I use my speed and boosted strength do jump on it. That jump was over 10 meters high a world record. I waited close to the edge of the hive. When it reached the edge, I saw it jump and spared its wings, the moment it does that I jump toward its wings edge. It tried do lean towards me but that actually helped me hit the wings edge and severing about a 1/6 off the right-wing. Having landed I look up and look at our changed positions and start running away.

Hearing the crash when it hits the hive, I look around seeing it turning around and jumping after me. It starts lousing height quicker than before thanks do the shorter wing, I keep my distends but try not do get do far away from it. Hearing the crash, I turn around and sprint towards the dazed queen bee as fast as I can. Jumping on its head I start swinging as fast as I can.

It only took a few hits for it to fall unconscious but a long time for it to finally die. I did not get any essence like with the bear and a quick scan I locate a core close to its stomach. Digging it out took some time and ended with me covered by bee guts. Looking at the hive I see honey running down and some larva crawling about.

Using my scan, I find everything in the hive that is alive and kill it when I finish and look at a watch, it took about 5 hours of fighting and gleaning up in the hive to kill every bee. I eat some honey while sitting atop the hive. I decided to go home, clean myself, check my messages, and rest then continue from here. Walking some way away for the hive I change my saved teleport location to here and step back home.
