Announcement

Some good and some bad news this time.

Good news I figured homesteading out and have been able to see the story and write it again. The problem is I kinda don't want to add it back to weekly chapters instead write it out and then post all chapters at the same time. The problem it would take longer like that so I would like to know what you guys think about that.

----

Another big announcement. It is soon the summer solstice and in my country it's a big holiday so I am taking a vacation. This is also so I would not burn myself out. It will be two weeks from 17.06.24

----

Speaking of that vacation I know I will be writing something during that time, in fact, I already have some story beginnings written out. I do that so I will not forget them. Now I have posted some, but are you guys interested in me posting more of them or just keep them to myself?

Do what works best for you and your health. Thank you

You could go for monthly uploads I know an auther that does that and it works

Being a king is so over rated everyone wants to take you down and you have to deal with issues and paperwork , I'd sooner aim to be a super powerful hidden boss type

Robert

So true, so many get wasted with bs or shit Thought i disagree with some really good pearl (well rare but it exist) who start at 0 year old and take a bit of their time in slow burn at the early years (as if you reincarnate and know things, they are so many things to work and plan in these years to make you the better you can be as a person and as slow grow come in these years as you put foundation as you go for it) "If youre a man you should aim to become king" One of my preferred in this type with how well/deep/realist and solid it is as the character grow and explore/go for his goal in his new world

You could make a backlog arc by arc, then release an arc at a time. You know, the main arc, not the filler arc. I enjoy the dungeon novel only, so I am biased against you bringing that other novel back. So you do you.

There really isn't much difference in my opinion, I'm not a fan of harems and I quite like an op female mc and in a fantasy world the battle of the sexes would be far more equal

Robert

I don't think protagonist should be isekai or reincarnation Japanese authors have ruined the whole genre with their op starting stats and skills , they should start from a baby but don't spend 100 chapters getting to 10yrs old

Robert

Number based ones are so hard to work out you have to plan the whole system before you even start writing the book or by chapter 200 your protagonist can crush planets

Robert

Also the planet needs to be huge , atleast 5 time diameter of earth and have dungeons or some other extradimensional expansion system to make it to 1000 chapters

Robert

I would love to write a female protagonist but I do not know if I am good enough for that.

Apinsig

do not want to start a third book makes my brain hurt just thinking about that

Apinsig

A decent female protagonist would be good in your next novel , plus some crafting again is a must , I thought the land claim system in homesteading actually made it hard to work as it moved it away from its origin to kingdom building and in all honesty why would you want to be the king all that responsibility and paperwork sounds foul

Robert

I deffo think you should finish homesteading before you start a 3rd full time story I have found author's struggle with more than 2 books on the go at once

Robert

there are more number-based systems and some that have no system at all and some somewhere in the middle. If I don't write its hard not to make up new worlds and then I have a need to write them down.

Apinsig

currently, all have their own worlds but I am not against writing in an established world like ETG

Correct. However the discussion is if we’re ok with him moving away from that. I voted yes for this specific story. Also for readers of other genres- Royal road isn’t a thing. I follow several mainstream authors here and we don’t necessarily get weekly chapters. It’s all about being clear what the author is offering and choosing to pay for that or not. In this case he is still offering a multi chapter release schedule for one story at this time and potentially: A large final release Random new starts that we can see if resonate. Still seems like I’m getting what I’m paying for. If you don’t want to only have one title per week for your subscription then it might be that you choose to cancel for a while. However personally I would much rather get finished work than wait on a cliffhanger for eternity. You can totally vote no tho.

Alysyn

Patreon is more based around a chapter every 2-3 days and not whole book releases plus you need the 10-15 chapter difference in release rate with royal road

Robert

Or is the plan for a more number based system in your next book?

Robert

Honestly I would rather have a good story that you don’t hate, and if you need to step away from serial format to make that work then go for it. I wish more of my authors realized this instead of just feeling trapped to the point they go on indefinite hiatus. I’m so glad you were able to figure it out. I was low key afraid that homesteading was done. I came to it late via your other story, but I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing what you do with the world!

Alysyn

Are you tempted to write a load of 5-10 chapter starts of stories and see which on resonates best with subscribers ?would you set them in the same world/universe as etg?

Robert

Hey if you can write better like that more power to ya

natterless

Take your time! I like suprises

Gilhe

I'm fine with you posting all at once. I like to binge they one anyway
