Burnie and Ashley discuss fit older ladies, games that play themselves, and the sudden loss of their favorite drink.

Swedish cider is the absolute best! The first time I drank English cider I thought something was wrong with it.. but Ashley if there ever is a flavor you can't find, I can always send some from the source :)

Zaconey. It was like a vanilla blended whiskey. Was big in Dublin around the mid 2010's. Used to be 3 for a fiver in some clubs. By 2018 it was gone.

Ben and Jerry’s limited batch: One Love. Easily the best flavor they’ve made

We just got back from Tokyo and picked up the following flavors of Kit Kats (I think it was this episode I binged from the 10th on): Strawberry Cheese Cake Amaou Strawberry Uji Matcha Peach Sugar Butter Tree Tokyo Shima Lemon

Different to the question: I used to mix peanut butter and marmite because it was the only thing in my cupboard one night and it tasted amazing. Told everyone about it and they were disgusted. Fast forward a few years and Marmite released marmite peanut butter

But can that autoplay play more than two games at a time? I need to chip away at this ever growing backlog of games 😅

Funny little coincidence I had with this episode. I was listening to RT Podcast #14 right before this episode, and Burnie brings up Fred in both of them.

Juniper latte from Starbucks circa 2018. Everyone said it tasted like gin but they were wrong because it was delicious and I have never tasted a drink like it since. Think "Christmas tree within a pine forest while snowing" kind of smell, and that's close to what this latte tasted like.

A subject I can contribute to! That cold brew Guinness was a dreadful seller after its initial launch. Handful of reasons for its existence but the imminent release of BD Black Heart at the time was definitely one of them. Since its launch over a year ago, Black Heart has devoured a chunk of Guinness’s ontrade and offtrade market share. As for the Cold Brew, it came at the tail end of a year long wave of “flavoured stouts” hitting supermarkets shelves and there was already fatigue in that market. It also doesn’t help that the cold brew stout wasn’t very good. I know you like it Ashley, but very few people did like it and even fewer liked it enough to buy it a second time - the key to a product launch at the scale Diageo deployed it at. The fact that it was discontinued in Nov and you didn’t even notice til now is a testament to how no one cared for it. Credentials: I co-founded and helped run a popular, mid-sized craft brewery for 8 years and supplied beers to many of the major supermarkets.
