I think the people targeting Katy Perry was misread on this episode. From what I can tell, people are upset that our liberties are in question, and we have a billionaire offering space tourism to out of touch rich celebrities who claim they are doing this for science (which is what Katy Perry claimed). People are comparing Katy Perry being out of touch with human suffering as this century's "let them eat cake" moment.

As a Texas vehicle inspector I can confirm it was a horrible decision to get rid of the safety inspection, there are so many cars I see on the daily basis that are no where near safe to be on the road. Basically the only thing stopping you from getting your car registered is if your check engine light is on, and that’s only if you live in one of the four big cities and surrounding areas.
