About PRIVATE/DIRECT messages!

I just wanted to make a statement about the Private/Direct Messages here on Patreon.
I’ve been receiving a lot of direct messages from many of you lately, and while it’s always lovely to hear from everyone, it takes time to get to each message in a timely manner.
I’ve received some angry follow-up messages about my not answering fast enough. That’s NOT COOL and I’m not having it!
The reality is that whenever I answer private messages, it takes time away from my drawing. Ultimately, my time is best spent creating art and content for EVERYONE who supports me here. Please understand that this is and MUST be my priority. I can’t “penpal” via private message and keep creating the same amount of art I want to offer up every month.
If you have requests, suggestions, or questions about my art, characters, or comics, please post on my Community page here on Patreon, or leave comments on my posts. I’ll be happy to answer you there. That way, when I respond, everyone can benefit from the exchange and other Patrons can even chime in, too.
I always do my best to answer all comments, and I LOVE hearing from all of you.
While I truly appreciate that you take the time to write and share your impressions of my art, direct/private messages should be for things related to my Patreon Campaign and for the distribution of the monthly rewards, nothing else.

Thanks so much for the love and your continued support, dear Conor. I really appreciate it and I ALWAYS love reading from you. Answering comments is truly part of my fun here, as well... I just have to have the time to do it, and sometimes it takes me longer than I would like to, but most people are completely understanding and patient, and I really appreciate that. Besides, I figure most people support me on Patreon to get access to new art and comics and that that's what matters to them the most. Occasionally, individuals get a little outta hand, and I have to put my foot down. But you know what they say... you just can't please everyone! And you don't have to worry about long comments -- I genuinely LOVE reading everything you write -- everything everyone writes -- in the comments and community section. I love that others can read it too, and that they can also participate in the exchanges/discussions. I think that's what makes for a great shared experience. YOU personally have NOT pulled away from my joy in any way, so do not worry about it at all!! I'm putting my foot down because I'm realizing that I can't please everyone in every way, and that my days are super full and that my time is important and best devoted to creating art for all of you to enjoy! Also, a few recent direct messages have been a little inappropriate, and I'm truly NOT having that kinda thing. When stuff starts to drag me down and weigh on me, I have to put my foot down. Sometimes I need to do it more than once. LOL! Anyway, as I said, do not worry or apologize. I always appreciate your comments, and I know many of my other Patrons do too, and that is AWESOME! I often find I wish I had more time to do it all, but a day only has 24 hours in it, and I do HAVE to sleep in that time, too! LOL! Most of the time, I finish my day kinda annoyed that I didn't get to do everything I wanted to, so I tend to think it's pretty cool that I manage to accomplish all that I do! HA HA HA! En tous cas, most people are wonderful and completely understand and respect that... and I appreciate it a lot. But there are times when you have to put your foot down in the name of sanity and self-preservation, I guess. As for time off... I am really looking forward to some at some point soon. But occasionally, there are some people who think that it's like magic and we just blink and POOF, art appears with no effort or hours spent working away. I wish it were that way, but it suuuuuuure isn't! LOL! And correspondence added on top of all of that... it can get to be a little overwhelming. You produce so much for us; we’re not pushing you to hard, are we? You are just SO talented, and I’d hate for our greed to be the reason you sacrifice quality over quantity, or something. Even more so, I hope that we aren’t cutting into the joy you get from creating. I know my comments have started to grow again; I can cut those back, limit them, or something. Artists can't spend too much time chatting, promoting, etc. We're best on our drawing board: where the magic happens! Still I'm impressed with HOW MUCH you do create while managing so much on the other side. Keep some time off too, taking care of yourself! XOXOX
