Talos, £1 Beastmaster Tier, Sell-Swords Tier and More

Strap in, Miercenaries, for there is much to divulge on this fine Friday.

Talos, Kolossos

First of all, Talos has been a giant pain (in more ways than one), but he's finally with us and, if you've been a member of a Miercenary tier for the past three months, you should see an MMF redeem e-mail on Monday (we haven't supported his files yet).

A note, though - the body is one huge piece; I'm working on getting him cut but it may be a week or so for that. So if you have a small printer, apologies.

The 2024 Loyalty Scheme

To reiterate what is happening with Talos (if you're new here). He's the first miniature to feature in our 2024 Loyalty Scheme, which rewards you for staying with us!

Simply put: if you've been a member of our Miercenary or Sell-Sword tier for the two months previous to the current month, you'll get another miniature for your battle host, usually a big monster or something, so it's well worth staying. To make it easy to identify which miniatures within the monthly battle host are part of the loyalty scheme, they are a different colour - that lovely bone colour of Talos that you see above.

What if I've just joined?

Fret not if you've just joined: if you stay with us for the two months after that initial month, you'll get the two previous loyalty miniatures and the one in the third month, and you'll then get  the loyalty miniature for as long as you stay with us.

How do I get the loyalty miniatures?

If you're wondering how you get that loyalty miniature, you don't have to do anything - we'll just work out who's got it and add it to your MMF library.

The New £1 Beastmaster Tier

That's right, we have a new tier staring in February! In our bid to Conquer the Nine Worlds, we're thinking we need to get prospective Miercenaries more aware of what we offer, and one of the ways we can do that is to climb the member rankings. How do we do that? Offer a £1 tier, of course - enter the Beastmaster tier!

The Beastmaster tier will give members one monster each month for the princely sum of £1. Hopefully that will generate a lot of interest in us and ensure we get more people aware of our miniatures and our general awesomeness!

Please note that we may well use beasts that have already been added to our digital library, that you may have already; but if we get a huge amount of interest we will definitely commission new monsters each month.

The first beast in the Beastmaster tier will be unveiled next week, but it will be a cracker, you can be assured of that...

The New Sell-Sword Tier

To ensure none of you guys miss out on the Beastmaster tier's beast each month, we've introduced the Sell-Sword tier too - one step above Miercenary, as it also includes the Beastmaster tier's beast. This will be £1 above the current Miercenary tier.

New Fonts and Darklands Bases

On top of that, we're introducing a new graphics stylee (well, mostly to do with the fonts we use; see the Brutal Beasts kickstarter project for the general idea) and going forward we'll be putting all our miniatures on Darklands bases. We've used generic flat bases in the past year just to see how it all hangs together, but it's time to change over to the bases our miniatures were designed for!

Fomoraic (Baalor) Warriors Battle Host

Next month it's the first time we feature those lovely Fomoraic miniatures, starting with the Warriors of Baalor!

The battle host will definitely contain:

• Shieldwall Mananaan on foot and on horse
• Great Axe Mananaan
• Two Axe Mananaan
• Thurnaaq, Aangakoq on foot
• The Eye Ascendant, Shieldwall Warrior of Baalor unit
• The Eye Arisen, Great Axe Warrior of Baalor unit
• The Eye Angered, Two Axe Warrior of Baalor unit
• The Ice Immortal, Shard Beast unit

The loyalty miniature (got to think of a better name) will be:

• Goraakk the Ripper, Shieldwall Gabrax Gore-Horn on Hoof and on Tarvocx
