So, as you can see, the LIMBO from the UNCANNY X-MEN Comics is linked/connected to the Limbo from the classic Marvel ROM series, from back in the 1980s.
The DIRE WRAITHS might be even worse than EVILCRAWLER, BELASCO and all of the Limbo Demons put together. YIKES! This will complicate the X-MEN's escape, don't you think? MWAH-HA HA HA! ๐๐
ANYHOW -- Only two pages remain, and they'll drop toward the end of this month, so STAY TOONED!!!!
And PS -- I modified ROM's Spaceknight armor to include a little something... extra! WHADDAYA THINK of it? LOL!

HA HA HA! Yup -- how does that go? "Methinks he dost protest too much"! Or something like that! LOL! I like to think it gives my version of Scott a little more depth. Like he says he's unwilling, but damn, those fingers sure do feel good stuffed in there, don't they? ๐๐ As for Rom and Starshine, they're admittedly quite obscure as characters go, and I literally pulled them outta left field for this, but they're such an important, HUGE part of my childhood, I just couldn't resist. I HAD to include them. The Wraiths make for fun, lascivious villains, and I loved the idea of the "larger" Limbo connecting parts of the Marvel Universe together... and besides, a fun twist is always a great comic plot point. I'm not familiar with Rom and the Wraiths, but it still makes for a pretty cool twist, I love the connection back into the wider Marvel universe! And I can always appreciate a robot with a massive metal dong ๐๐

Still, you don't need to be super familiar with the Dire Wraiths to enjoy their part in "Escape from Limbo"... All you need to know is that they are EVIL INCARNATE!! LOL! And yes, two pages is a lot for everything to get resolved... but I never promised I'd resolve everything anyway. HA HA HA! ๐ ๐๐ My work on the X-Men stuff has been focused on a "what if the X-Men were in a Class Comics-like world" idea. It's like an "otherworld/alternate reality" sort of experiment. But at some point, I need to call this experiment concluded, whether every little tether is tied up nice and tidy and resolved or not. BUUUUUT, I won't leave you guys hanging... 2025-04-08 17:22:03 +0000 UTCA sudden last minute villain reveal/semi-crossover with unrelated story, well it definitely feels in line with the shocking swerves the comics themselves take with their own stories lol. Unless it's all set-up and this series in continuing on past this point? not that I doubt anyone would be complaining just seems an awful lot to wrap up in just two pages. Don't really know much about ROM or his world other than Marvel had to retire the character over a rights issue but I've heard good things and I'm sure I'll get round to his series some day and be able to appreciate this more in retrospect.

I HAAAAD to sneak him into this... and the Dire Wraith connection actually makes TOTAL sense and was alluded to (at least in possibility) in ROM ANNUAL #3, so you know... I do my research... but I don't believe Marvel's EVER taken it to this level and actually had the Dire Wraiths invade Belasco's Limbo. BAH HA HA HA! ๐๐๐
