I've been cracking on with renders and even a couple of animations for the Under the Table game. The good news is, it's coming along rather nicely, but it is pretty slow going. I'm probably about 10% through now, though hopefully that'll speed up a little as it goes.

So, here are some stills to show you some of what I've produced. If you've been around a while you might notice I've got an updated/revised Eva from the very early attempts. And both that eating shot and that mouth shot will actually be briefly animated.

I'm toying with the idea of simplifying the game for now by taking out Arnold's House (that is, essentially, all the encounters with his family outside the office). It's all coded, and I have the models ready, but it's going to take such a long time to get into another environment that I think I'd rather produce the full office game first to have something complete, and then revisit the Arnold's House scenario as an expansion later.

This would help me focus more on producing something high quality without worrying too much about how long it's all taking, especially the animations! With a bit of extra headspace I could make the game a little more dynamic, and if I circle back to Arnold's family later I might even add some scenes with them in the office, too.

I've already removed the Hatter sidegame, by the way, in case anyone was waiting eagerly for that. I don't know if anyone's actually discovered that exists yet, though. Did anyone ever find the Hatter scenario in the book?? (There's no actual way to get to it through the narrative, it's just hidden between some of the chapters.)
