May Musings: Subscription Changes

Hello!

I'm putting out my May update a little early because I've got some news I thought it best to share before the next charging period, as it affects your membership.

With life getting in the way, I've needed to update my tier system and slow things down. Hopefully this will only be temporary, but at least for May and June, I'm rolling back from 2 updates a week to 1. This means each Tiers 1 and 2 serial will have an update every two weeks (so full subscribers, Mouthful Tier and above, will get new content every week, alternating between serials).

To counter this somewhat, I'm aiming to make the new Tier 1 serial more episodic, so the updates should be a bit longer and more self-contained than before.

This might lose me a few subscribers, but I'm afraid it's necessary if I'm to keep this up and juggle my other commitments. I thought it better to slow down than burn out, and I fully aim to share more in future, if I can draw in more subscribers.

However, I do have a few exciting new updates. Firstly, we've finished BEANSTALKED and put out a pretty epic short story with FOURTH DATES, so it's time for something new at Tier 1, and this is going to be fun. 

Starting next week, I'm running BIG VILLAINY, LITTLE JUSTICE (BVLJ), an episodic superhero serial where the bad girls are turning the tides on justice thanks to size-warping technology. Expect a lot of varied characters, powers and destruction, with episodes mostly designed as self-contained stories (so these updates may be a bit more substantial, even if they're less frequent). 

BV/LJ is going to be PATREON EXCLUSIVE; with a few exceptions, the episodes will only be available here.

Next, I've revised the benefits for the higher tiers, to offer a little bit more:

- There's now an ADVANCED eBOOK CHAMPION tier, which will receive ARCs of eBooks as soon as I've completed them – for anyone who can't wait for a serial to finish. I can't guarantee how far in advance I can provide these, but typically I try to get a story complete at least by the time it's midway through serial publication.

- I'm now offering a COMMISSIONER GENERAL tier, which will receive ARCs, as above, and the opportunity to commission one new original story every month, of about 2,000 words long. This tier will be limited to 6 subscribers for now, and I'm open to writing in almost any subject and genre (though do bear in mind I specialise in fantasy, horror and thrillers, particularly with voreish leanings).

In other news, MARCH OF THE THUNDRESS thunders on this month, I hope you're enjoying this saga. It's already 3 chapters longer than my original plan, and things are only going to get more epic!

BEANSTALKED will be out in eBook and comic form very soon, so watch this space for that, and in case you missed it OPERATION RAZMER 3 is now out everywhere, too!
