IDK if there's an 'official' reason he hides his eyes behind that fringe, but I'd like to think it's because his bedroom-eyes are just so powerful that people just spontaneously jizz themselves if they make see them. A strange and mysterious teaching of the druidic schools; useful upon friend and foe alike! (Now that I've thought of that, I'm TOTALLY going to suggest it the next time he's up to be drawn)
