Very late comment on the jar man: I think this post is probably massaged. It's very much possible that she's the type of person who simply doesn't or barely closes jars herself - I've had this issue with my own family. Then the guy sees the essentially open jar and closes it - perhaps a little to forceful, but that can happen out of annoyance or habit without even having OCD or the likes. Why would he not respond with the loose jars when they are fighting? Very much possible that this man who seems to be a pretty good guy outside of the jars just picks his battles and a fight about jars is simply not worth it to him until it gets to the breaking point. Once more in my personal life I never brought up the loose jars and just said "sorry it's a force of habit" instead because why would you in this situation choose to prod at them when the other party is already fuming with rage.

2025-04-17 06:05:34 +0000 UTCI can’t believe none of them talked about the hot pepper paste, it was literally the end of the post, it was the straw that broke the camels back. The hot pepper paste is something the guy would literally have to go out of the their way to find and tighten the lid to at the back of the fridge, where it’s either some sort of manipulative tactic where the guy is purposefully tightening all of the jars in the house, or indicative of some sort of ocd/mental block because maybe the guy sees his wife tighten a jar after using it for cooking and then goes back to tighten it later because he thought it wasn’t tight enough. Literally, she said that she would be willing to try to work through it if it wasn’t every single jar in the house including the jars that the husband never once would use, that she could have a sliver of doubt, but the fact that every single jar is too tight even the ones he never used makes me lean on the side of not the asshole.
