2024-07-12 19:20:01 +0000 UTCThe thing with the first one is you really, really need to not come off as antagonistic. You need to approach them from a neutral position and not give your partner any reason to dig their heels in and shut your side out. Maybe concede some ground, agree on as many points you feel you can and eventually hope you poke enough holes in their position that they can come to the realization themselves. The entire rhetoric of QAnon-adjacent beliefs is that "the system" is there to condition you and that everyone will call you crazy and laugh in your face, so unfortunately if you prove any of that true you by extension prove the rest of the stuff they're saying true. Their relationship is probably salvageable, but it's gonna require a ton of emotional work on the guy's end and still come down to if she's willing to reevaluate herself. At the very least hopefully she'll stop with stuff so high-profile.

If that's the case it seems really weird to shut down the One Available Solution. Sure I may have misheard it and it's weird that those two want that connection to exist but if that's the case I don't think the father solution is that absurd
