Notice: Switching to Subscription Billing

I'm sure you all have heard by now about Patreon's upcoming billing changes. If you haven't, the TLDR is that Apple is forcing Patreon to switch to their montly billing model or they will not be allowed to remain on the app store. the main difference is that now patron's will be charged on the same day of the month they originally signed, as opposed to the first of the month as it currently exists now. Many creators already use this model, but now everyone has to switch by november 3rd.
Additionally Apple intends to take a 30% fee out of any pledges made on the IOS app. Patreon has put it on the creators to determine whether we want to take this 30% hit on these or have patrons who sign up using the iOS. Its quite an awkward situation. My feeling is, since Patron's have the option to sign upon the patreon site to avoid the fee, I'm going to take pass it on option, and just highly recommend everyone avoids using the ios app to make your pledges to avoid the apple tax.
