Yellow Dress, Act 2, Scene 3 - Ravens/Writing Desks

(Another alleyway down below.
Spinning fans continue to spit out stinking mist.
The Little Girl wanders aimlessly.
Cold, Scared, Alone.
Cody enters, once again wearing adress,
and The Little Girl hides.
Cody sees her running. He calls out.)

Cody:
It’s okay!
I’m not going to hurt you.

The Little Girl:
They always say that.
The Man said that before he brought me here.

Cody:
I know you.
Don’t you recognize me?
You came into my house.
When you were running away from him.

(The Little Girl peeks out from her hiding spot.
Cody waves at her.)

The Little Girl:
How do I know you’re not a
Bad Man trying to trick me?

Cody:
Would a bad man wear
a silly yellow dress like this?

(He spins around so the dress flies up.
The Little Girl giggles.)

The Little Girl:
You look silly.
Why are you wearing a dress just like mine?

Cody:
All my clothes seemed to have disappeared
This was the only thing I could find.
Hey... I was told a little girl like you
might be able to help me out.

The Little Girl:
Help you out?

Cody:
Yeah...
You see I need to find my friends.
The Man’s got them locked up in these towers
on opposite sides of the world
and a lady told me you’d know where to find them.
Can you help me?

The Little Girl:
Hmmmmmmm
Maybe.

Cody:
Please, we have to hurry.
If we don’t rescue them before the sun rise,
They’ll be turned into monsters!
One of them is the guy who
Helped me rescue you!
So you kinda owe him for that.
And the other.... Well she...

The Little Girl:
Is she your girlfriend?

Cody:
Yeah
Well kinda.
I think she’s mad at me right now.

The Little Girl:
Did you hurt her?

Cody
I don’t know.
I might have.
If I did I didn’t mean to.
We were both pretty drunk.

The Little Girl:
You’re weird.

Cody:
Yeah I am.
So whaddaya say?
Will you help me find the towers?

The Little Girl:
Hmm.

Cody:

The Little Girl:

The Little Girl:

Cody:
Yeah I know.
So did I pass your test?

The Little Girl:

Which tower do you want to go to first?

Cody:
Oh. I just choose.

The Little Girl:
You’re gonna save both eventually!

Cody:
Well we need to move quickly.
Which one’s closest?

The Little Girl:
Blue! It’s across the misty forest!
We have to go.... THAT WAY.

Cody:
Than Blue it is!
