and a woman enters from the audience
As if she’s exiting a crowded bar.
With a few flicks of a lighter
She lights a cigarette and
Begins walking hazily down the aisle
As if she’s walking home.
As she nears the stage
The Man steps down to her,
Posing as Seth.
The woman’s name is Rose)
Seth:
‘Scuse me miss?
Can I bum a cig?
Rose:
Sorry, fresh out.
(She walks faster to get away from him.)
Seth:
I asked you nicely.
I didn’t have to do that.
Rose:
And I don’t have to
Give you a cigarette!
Get lost, Creep.
Seth:
Anyone ever tell you
You’re sexy when you’re angry?
Rose:
Fuck off.
(Seth pulls out his knife.
A nearby lamppost starts to flicker.
Rose pulls out a bottle of mace
and aims it right at Seth.)
Rose:
Yeah, go ahead and try it, fuck face.
(The lights flicker out for a second
And when they return,
Seth has Rose grabbed from behind
With the knife against her throat.
Screams as lights flicker out again.)
