Not only would it be likely he would kill someone and active his curse, but also because he already has that werewolf rage and I don't think someone who can't control their anger should be a cop. Although this seems to vary from wolf to wolf, Tyler is definitely one who can't control it. He's gotten better, but not good enough imo
