Lovecraftian Horror Breaking Through Dimensional Walls
Added 2021-03-22 13:48:34 +0000 UTCEvery couple of months, I can reliably count on you all to vote for the track request that is unambiguously the most difficult to score. "Lovecraftian Horror Breaking Through Dimensional Walls" is right up there with "God Being Freed From an Extraplanar Prison" in terms of "how can I possible do this justice?" It was not an easy sound to achieve, but I think I've got it!
"Phth'uub-Phthyn" has cult vibes, distorted moans, and the charging pulses of some betentacled monster shattering the fabric of reality itself. It is intense, foreboding, and unnecessarily crunchy. Though there are big ol' drum slams, I don't think you're going to want to use this for any sort of combat encounter. This is quintessential "pre-combat" setup. As the boss monster (of any variety, really) makes its entrance into the arena, throw this on while the party nervously looks at their character sheets and calculates the chance of a TPK.
Congratulations again to Dice Will Roll, the self-proclaimed "Gayest Pathfinder Podcast on the Planet" for winning the track request poll 3 months in a row. A staggering achievement! I'm always flattered when they use my music in their show. Go give them a listen!
If you want an ambient version of this track which is perfect for unsettling explorations of the the Far Realm, you can get that at the Artist Tier +. Thanks, y'all!
