Greetings from the bottom of the ocean.
This week I bring you a beautiful collaboration with J.Dungeonmaster, a tabletop cartographer I have been a fan of for a long time. His work always has the most soothing color palettes, so when he suggested that we tackle an underwater theme, I knew right away that his map was going to be glorious. The Last Rest is perfect for those deep sea encounters: whip out the Player's Handbook, because I KNOW you've forgotten the rules for underwater combat. Let's hope you've got a trident handy to bash some sahuagin marauders! Julian was generous enough to provide 3 different versions of this map for you to use, including an extra dark variant and one with tentacles, perfect for well-guarded treasure! I've attached everything below.
My track for today is a chill underwater track titled "Leukothea." This track is calm. It's perfect for slow jaunts across the ocean floor, in coastal villages, or any Zora's Domain equivalent. While this doesn't have to strictly be used for aquatic locales, the steel drums, floating harmonies, and rising and falling arpeggios are quintessentially "underwater themed." I listened to hours of video game tracks to get in the right headspace for writing this one, and let me tell ya: it was pretty nice.
I've got a sparser version of this track at my Artist Tier +, as well as looping versions of both. Also, please do check out J.Dungeonmaster's Patreon! He's got beautiful maps, and a bunch of variants for each. He's also got a lot of free content, so browse to your heart's content... and then give him money anyway!
