Maintain Concentration

Wizards learn complicated spells and practice create the effects with through arcane knowledge. Monks harness ki to channel energy through their body. Hell, even a ranger has to remain hyper-focused when they lie in wait while tracking prey. Often in RPGs, we focus on the most active portions of an adventuring day: dungeoneering, combat, bargaining, feats of athleticism and heroism.
But RPGs are primarily played in the mind, and moments of intense concentration can also make for strong story moments as well as compelling gameplay. One of my players (a ranger) recently spent time in solitary confinement after being accused of desertion. While ruminating in his prison cell, he was visited by the judge, a cleric, and his sister in three distinct, emotional, and character-defining scenes. The eventual mechanical result of these scenes was 1) some aid during his trial, and 2) grabbing a level of Monk. It was the roleplaying of the actual meditation though that was the most satisfying layer of play.
All of this is to set up the context for today's track "A Moment of Focus." This tune is perfect for thoughtful, meditative moments in your play: searching for clues in an ancient tome, contemplating a cryptic puzzle, or perhaps even communing with your deity. This isn't just calm music; it's contemplative, and thoughtful. Think less "campfire" and more "quiet library."
I've got an ambient version and a looping version over at the Artist tier and up!
