Quiet! Unsettling! Something Doesn't Feel Right!

As a DM, I think it's totally okay to "give away the game" so to speak when the party is checking out a locale where things aren't quite as they seem: a haunted mansion, a corrupted forest, a secret lair of any sort. Sometimes, your players just know this isn't a simple "chill with some rich people in a big house" sort of adventure. They're cannibals, or vampires, or werewolves or something. It's just up to the party to figure out exactly what's going.
Enter "Something Amiss"! The slow plodding viola and wandering bassoon / trombone really sell the whole "tiptoeing" vibe. This is great for those Sherlock Holmes-style adventure preludes. This isn't the main event so to speak, but the fact-finding portion of a quest can be thrilling and intense nonetheless!

Like I said on the 1st, this month is a bit jam-packed in the middle, and then I suppose I'll take a bit of a break over the holidays if y'all will allow it!
