Maki is hilarious. In the manga she might be the overall funniest dang character, a position that's obviously hard won. I've seen people dislike her as a homewrecker, but her evil-est moments are always exaggerated for the sake of comedy, akin to Kaguya's "hatred" of Fujiwara. In actuality, Maki and Nagisa are great friends and the jealousy (+ the necessary secrecy) is tearing Maki apart as a result. And yet the more pain she is in, the funnier it is still. And what the very ending of the manga does with this triangle is GOLD.
