Update on Kage
Added 2022-01-21 20:34:04 +0000 UTCToday we took Kage to the vet since he has been coughing and gagging for a couple weeks now. We’ve taken him to the ER twice and they only found high levels of calcium in his system. Today, we had him tested for Feline Leukemia and it came out positive.
Me and Nim were informed that it’s treatable to delay the effects, but there’s no cure for it and it’s rarely found in cats. The vet recommended that we simply keep him comfortable until his time, or discuss putting him down if it worsens. Right now we’re looking into our options, but it’s been very difficult.
I wanted to share this with you all since Kage is a huge part of our lives and this really was a huge shock . We’re both incredibly heartbroken by this . As we navigate through this , I just want to thank you all for your patience and understanding .
