Psionics are truly beyond our comprehension in our current state. Over-fathers are capable of manipulating space-time on multiple layers of the Multiversal World-tree. Basic Telekenisis comes from a manipulation of our layer of space-time, whether that comes from manipulating gravitational waves or by disrupting the molecular composition of an object. Telepathic communication comes from the fact that in the Humanity Lost universe, consciousness is inextricably linked to the World-tree itself. There are limits to what an Over-father can do and they can tire from excessive use of their power. They can only sustain a stable gateway to the ELAN for so long before they pass out from exhaustion, the same goes for if they tried to lift a mountain or something similar. Over-fathers can give psionic commands to billions upon billions of Imperium Units, those units then act like automatons fulfilling their last given task.
