some very late night ramblings ✨

i'm still all about shallow sleep, i finished all 7 pages of lineart for episode 05 in one go today, yay progress!! (page 1 is the cover, i have something special planned for that so that's still a WIP haha)

colours need to get done until sunday! i'll be posting episode 04 here tomorrow, it's been ready to go since tuesday but i couldn't find energy/time to export and edit the files yet, so i couldn't get them beta'd yet by my wonderful friend who offered to do that for me T uT)

after finishing ep 05's lineart i was like hmmm i need a break, what could i do?? and i somehow ended up doodling the drawing up there 😂 i've been very into japanese street fashion again lately, or general kawaii harajuku/tokyo stuff (i never know what these styles are called) and i've always loved putting charon in various colourful, pastel outfits, i'm almost sad i decided to give him only one default outfit within the comic..! but outside of the story, i can do whatever i want and this doodle was exactly that.

i also decided to pick up my japanese studies again, it's been a while since i had the time to actually practise but i figured i could listen to some lessons while i'm drawing to review things i've already learned and then continue with new stuff. turns out i do remember quite a lot and should probably move on to more complicated sentence structures and new vocab, repeating the basics over and over is starting to get boring lol. i used to be very diligent with my studies for a long time but it kinda fell apart a year ago or so, i just didn't have the time anymore @ _@) i'd like to study at least semi-regularly again, it's always been fun. i kinda wish i had someone to practise with, especially to learn speaking properly but i'm too shy to find some random person online in one of these language learning forums aaaahhh @@ oh well, i'm happy enough if i can read and listen to it comfortably...!!

other than that.... my mouse broke this week, which was a Nightmare! that thing has been a hand-me-down from my previous-previous job and even then it had been in use before i started there for a year already, it was only a matter of time until it gave up working completely. RIP friend, you worked hard for a long, long time...!

i decided, for my new one... i wanted an MMO mouse. turns out those are EXPENSIVE as heck, i'm not going to pay 100 eur for a mouse with a couple extra buttons?? i ordered a rather cheap one, but unfortunately the side buttons were completely useless, i had to use too much force to get them to react, i could already imagine how my teammates in pvp would be yelling at me because i'm not casting my shit fast enough LMAO i ordered a second one, in hopes it'd be better and...! it is!!

a big girl!! she's double the size of my old mouse and so comfy to hold. the side buttons work nicely too from what i could tell so far. i haven't tried playing yet, because there's no time but i'm excited to take her for a test run soon!

that's basically all that's happened in the past week, life is pleasantly boring when i don't have to leave the house 😂😂
