Ink refilling
Added 2018-06-14 15:40:33 +0000 UTCTheres some brushpens where all the ink is in the handle and when it runs out you can replace the handle. But if your willing to take the entire thing apart and watch YouTube videos to see which model you have... You can cut a bit off or in my case leave an inner tube out and refill with normal drawing India ink. This alters the ink flow because different inks are thicker or thinner. I now use this Brushpen for doing large areas of black. It's not about money but about time. A normal Brushpen is designed to do tiny lines and thicker lines so you will be there for HOURS filling in black shadow. If your going to scan the art you can do the black shadow in Photoshop but when the original art is going to someone and half the page is black lol, it's like useing a bigger brush to paint with. I've turned it into a thicker Brushpen which I have to refill. Above is my big tub of India ink I got off eBay, my blunt syringe off eBay, my brushpen and my small EMPTY glass ink jar. The hole/nozzle on the ink tub is tiny, you carnt get a syringe in. So I poured the ink from the big ink tub into my small glass one and then carefully use my syringe to fill the pen handle 😅 I always get coverd in ink.
