Personally, i think the pace is fine. We as readers need to understand each and every main character so we wonโt lose interest. He needs to build them so it wonโt feel forced when IT happens.

He didn't take advantages on Jason even he was with a unconscious Jason all night long considered he's a "bad guy" and I took his fierce objection to those bulls' fuck plea as his uncontrollable love feeling to Jason. 2020-05-12 13:57:55 +0000 UTCMaybe they kept increasing the dose as they kept using it until it became too much and killed them. Kind of like pain medication, you start off on a small dose but it stops working so you take more and more until you're addicted. That would be my guess anyway.
