In general, focusing intention always help since you will be communicating to your subconscious what you want. Maybe it had another idea based on your lifetime homeostasis, on what the perfect voice for you is, and communicating with it / focusing intention makes it more clear to it what you truly want. The difference shouldn't be that great but improvements always happen and tend to infinity (for example, you can always be more kind, powerful, etc)
