(NSFW CENSORED) A Test Comic

UPDATE 11/30: FINISHED THIS LITTLE COMIC WOOO! There are 4 new pages up with a blurred censor!

Hello! The few days I've been doing a little tester comic to get a feel for things as I get ready to work on Lucent properly. One of the most important things for me was figuring out how much work I could responsibly give myself while also allowing for breaks and additional work. Working at about 6-7 hours a day for five days, I was able to storyboard 50 panels, but only responsibly finish about 36. There are four more pages you can't see as they're unfinished, but I'll be sure to finish them in my free time later. That said, this doesn't take into consideration more complex panels with multiple characters. Taking that all into account, I'm likely limiting myself to about 25-30 panels a week. I want to ensure that I keep the quality up enough that I would be proud of what I made. I'm sorry I'm not able to create more than that at the moment. In the future, if I make enough and can hire assistance, I'll likely bring myself back up to 40+ panels!

You'll also notice that some coloring is inconsistent between pages. I was doing some tests on the best way for me to color my pages. I'm not going to render much in Lucent because it takes way more time than it's worth. I only laid down the flats and then added some effect layers on top and honestly I don't think there's that big of a quality drop. Some panels may be more rendered depending on what I'm going for, but everything will most likely be around this quality. It makes it possible for me to do more panels and at a healthy rate!

That said, the most important thing with this was figuring out the best way to censor stuff haha! I've used a whole variety of different methods per panel. I didn't want to completely exclude pages for $3 patrons just because of the NSFW, especially if there are plot-relevant conversations, so I've decided to make a censored version and then provide the completely uncensored version for $5+ patrons. If you would also like me to provide a warning right before explicit scenes, I'm more than happy to do so as well.

Somehow, this censoring still won't be enough for Tapas, so I'll have to actually make an even MORE censored version for that platform haha. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do, but I'll be putting some of these pages up there to see what people think LOL I'm debating between gay sex stickers and inducing the rapture with how much white glow I'm gonna stick everywhere.
