Graphics: French 2nd Armoured Division during the Battle of Dompaire (1944)
Added 2021-11-02 11:15:29 +0000 UTCGraphics done of the French 2nd Armoured Division and its subordinate Groupement tactique Langlade during the Battle of Dompaire (September 1944). This was done as research for an upcoming video on the battle, where GT L destroyed an entire German Panzer Brigade (including a brand new Panther battalion) in one day.
In August 1943, the French 2nd Armoured was created out of Free French forces that had fought under Leclerc in North Africa. It was equipped completely by the Americans and organized similarly to a "light" US Armored Division, divided into 3-4 Tactical Groups (GT) equivalent to American combat commands.
